Azden SMX-20 DSLR Stereo Microphone

The LR-44 battery was already included, which saved me a trip to the store. The 3.5mm plug fit perfectly into my camera's input, and the sound quality is noticeably richer than the built-in mic.

The LR-44 battery already being included meant I could plug the 1/8" cable into my camera and start recording right away. At 5 inches long, it stays out of frame on my rig, and the stereo pick-up is noticeably wider than my old built-in mic.

Finally a compact shotgun mic that doesn't need phantom power—the included LR-44 battery is such a relief for quick outdoor shoots. The 5-inch length fits perfectly on my camera without blocking the screen. Audio quality is crisp and clear for interviews.
