Canon EW-88C Lens Hood

Finally got this to replace a generic hood I was using, and the fit is perfect with no wobble. The bayonet mount clicks on securely in seconds, and it does a great job blocking flare in bright sun.

Snapped it on before a dusty outdoor shoot and it locked into place with a satisfying click. The stray light cutoff on backlit portraits is noticeably cleaner, and I don't worry as much when the lens bumps against my gear bag.

The bayonet mount locks on so securely to my 24-70mm that I’m not worried about it falling off during shoots, and it has already saved my front element from a couple of bumps. It does a solid job blocking stray light in harsh sun too.
