Snapped it on and it clicks into place with a satisfying firmness, no wobble at all. The extra depth really does cut down side glare on sunny days, and it’s a nice bonus that it guards the front ring from knocks.

Mounting it was effortless, and it locks on with a reassuring firmness that I never worry about mid-shoot. The way it blocks side glare has saved me from lens flare in some pretty harsh afternoon light. It's also a nice bonus knowing the lens ring gets that extra layer of protection on crowded trail

Went out for a few hours of shooting and the side glare that used to wash out my shots is completely gone, even with the sun low in the sky. It clicks on solid and feels just as protective as the stock Canon piece, so I don't worry about the front ring when I'm hiking.
