I was worried the spikes would be too aggressive for indoor use, but the reversible rubber side makes it easy to switch between surfaces. The included tool actually made swapping the foot simple enough.

The included tool made swapping between rubber and spike tips effortless, and the stainless steel spike gives great grip on icy ground. Exactly what my monopod needed for outdoor shoots.
