Took it out on a bright sunny day and the difference in contrast was immediate—no more washed-out glare sneaking in around the glass. The bayonet mount locks tight and feels solid when I twist it on, exactly what you want for protecting that 28-70mm front element.

Bayonet lock clicks in place with zero wobble, which is exactly what I needed to keep glare off the front element on bright days. The extra shade depth noticeably cuts flare when shooting into the sun, and it doesn’t add much bulk to the bag.

I lost my original hood and was worried this replacement wouldn't fit snugly, but it bayonets on with a solid, reassuring twist and blocks flare just as well as the old one.
