Timothy N. ★★★★★

Was a bit worried about handholding such a long lens, but at just over 60 ounces and 8.3 inches long it's surprisingly manageable for a full day of birding. The minimum focus distance of 23.6 inches at the wide end lets you get some really cool close-up shots too.

Carter G. ★★★★★

I’ve been impressed by how sharp this lens stays at 500mm even in lower light, and the autofocus locks on fast enough for birds in flight.

Leo K. ★★★★★

I've been using this lens for wildlife shots and the minimum focus distance of 23.6 inches at 150mm lets me get surprisingly close to small subjects. The weight is manageable enough that I can hike with it slung over my shoulder all day.
