Details: Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. Dedicated lens hoods are designed to match the specific focal length of the lens it was designed for.

Hazel K. ★★★★★

Snapped right onto my Nikon 17-55mm with a solid click, and the high-impact plastic feels sturdy enough for daily use. I’ve noticed a real drop in lens flare when shooting into the sun, which is exactly what I wanted. The 24-month warranty gives me peace of mind, too.

Steven ★★★★★

Snapped right onto my Nikon lens without any fuss – the bayonet mount is solid and locks tight. Feels sturdy enough for daily use, and the premium plastic should hold up fine. Good to have that 24-month warranty as backup, too.

Christopher ★★★★★

Finally, a lens hood that actually fits my Nikon 17-55mm without any wobble. The bayonet mount locks on securely and the high-impact plastic feels durable enough for my daily shooting.
