Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8 Nikkor Lens - Rare First Version - Main image
$115.17 $179.95 In stock

Category: Camera Lens

Features:

  • Features the classic clear plastic focus distance scale window.
  • Solid "Made in Japan" construction with a metal mount.
  • Razor-sharp 6-element, 5-group optical design.
  • Deeply recessed front element naturally minimizes flare.
  • Physical aperture ring (f/1.8 to f/22) makes it great for adapting to vintage film bodies.

Compatibility Note: This is a screw-drive autofocus lens. It will autofocus perfectly on Nikon DSLRs with built-in focus motors (e.g., D7000-series, D200, D300, D700, D800, D3, D4, etc.) and all classic Nikon AF film bodies. It functions as a manual focus lens on entry-level bodies without a motor (D3000/D5000 series) and on mirrorless Z-mount bodies via FTZ adapters.

Christopher B. ★★★★★

I love how the clear plastic focus distance scale window gives this lens a classic retro look that stands out on my camera. The razor-sharp optics deliver beautiful, crisp images even in low light with the f/1.8 aperture. It's a joy to use for everyday shooting.

Hazel ★★★★★

The metal mount feels incredibly solid, and the glass is razor-sharp even wide open. I’m amazed at how crisp portraits look with this lens.

Eva ★★★★★

The focus ring on this vintage Nikkor has a beautifully smooth, damped feel that makes manual focusing a pleasure. Tack-sharp images even wide open at f/1.8, with that classic contrast that digital lenses sometimes lack.
