Ava ★★★★★

Picked this up for my Minolta and the 6-bladed aperture gives the out-of-focus areas a nice, slightly octagonal look. It's compact enough to keep on the camera all day without feeling bulky. For the price, a solid walkaround zoom.

Ruby ★★★★★

For a used lens this old, the autofocus is surprisingly snappy and quiet on my Minolta body. The 28-70mm range makes it a flexible walk-around zoom, and the glass is clear with no noticeable haze.

Daniel J. ★★★★★

Came across this used copy in great shape—the autofocus is quick and the 28-70mm range makes it a solid everyday walk-around lens. The 6-blade aperture gives a decent falloff for portraits, though the bokeh isn't buttery smooth. Feels sturdy for its age, and the zoom ring is nicely damped.
