TiffenNeutral Density 0.9 Filter

I’ve been using this filter to shoot outdoors in bright sunlight, and the exposure balance is spot-on with my manual camera. The 55mm diameter fits perfectly, and depth of field control at f/3 is noticeably smoother now.

Finally getting sharp portraits at f/3 in bright conditions without blowing out the sky. The 55mm threads onto my lens perfectly and the 0.9 density cuts just enough light.

Shooting in harsh midday sun used to mean blown-out skies, but this filter cuts the glare so cleanly that my f-stop 3 shots on the manual body finally hold all the detail. Depth of field control is exactly what I needed for portraits without squinting through the viewfinder.
